DESCRIPTION:Kirtan is a powerful\, accessible\, traditional yoga practice. Working with simple call and response chanting\, using our own voices\, we invite ourselves into greater harmony\, lifting our vibration and recalibrating our nervous system. As sound penetrates and pervades\, kirtan reaches the parts that other practices are not always able to. No experience is required for this uplifting\, cleansing and revitalising practice. Everyone welcome!\n \nJames Boag has been passionately sharing ‘whole life yoga’ across three continents for the last two decades. Working with sound and song\, movement and meditation\, story and inquiry\, practical philosophy and study of the classic Sanskṛt yoga texts\, James’ programs invite nourishment and vitality to all parts of ourselves as we inquire into the reality of being human. With a background in languages and literature\, and having lived in several countries\, James brings the perennial wisdom of the Indian tradition to vivid life in the context of our world today. \n\nPrice: This event is by donation\, James is hiring the venue and traveling from Pickering.
