DESCRIPTION:Thursdays 2\, 9\, 16 and 23 October 2025  \nAn in-depth introduction to the classical practice of yogic breathwork. Pranayama is the sister practice of asana and one of the ‘eight limbs of yoga’. The benefits of deep breathing are endless: it’s calming\, restorative\, focusing\, energising\, it reduces stress\, enhances sleep\, and regulates the nervous system. It makes you feel great! \nOver 4 weeks we will:  \n\nbegin the process of releasing our breath from tension patterns\nlook at the evidence supporting conscious breathwork\nexplore dynamic kriyas such as agni sari and bhastrika\nget to grips with bandhas\, the internal locks\nlearn the slow calming pranayamas – ujjayi\, nadi shodhana\, viloma\ngo deeper with the pranic square and anuloma\nestablish a nourishing pranayama home practice \n\n£100 to include detailed handouts and audio guides for home practice \nNot suitable for complete beginners.
