SUMMARY:Vinyasa Flow - Dynamic
DESCRIPTION:This is a strong flow practice which will give you a good workout\, revitalising and energising. You’ll start slowly\, inviting kindness and mindfulness into your practice\, then build up heat as you move through plenty of sun salutes\, standing poses and floor postures. Like all our classes the foundation is mindful breathwork. Class finishes with deep relaxation. It’s suitable for those with experience of yoga and for people getting back into yoga with a good level of fitness. \n

SUMMARY:Five weeks to wheel course
DESCRIPTION:Five sessions: 4\, 11\, 18\, 25 November and 2 December 6.15 – 7.30pm \nFull body backbends such as wheel are some of the ‘scariest’ postures for vinyasa yoga students\, but they also have incredible benefits\, especially as we get older. Backbends can prevent kyphosis\, back pain\, and loss of bone mass & osteoporosis. They’re also one of the only postures that stretches almost everything from your toes to your fingers – making you feel amazing! \nPeople often see back and shoulder flexibility as something you either have or don’t have – but this simply isn’t the case. By taking time to understand the anatomy and engagement of these positions\, you’ll increase your range of motion\, mind-body connection\, and get rid of that pre-backbend fear\, too. \nWe’ll work methodically through drills\, postures and exercises to increase mobility\, strength and stability\, and soothe the nervous system as we stretch. There’ll be lots of time to ask questions\, get individual feedback and cues\, and rest (in between finding muscles you didn’t know you had)! \nIf you’re someone who gets that inner dread when you hear your yoga teacher cueing backbends\, or if you feel stuck when even attempting to bend\, this course is for you. If you have never tried going into wheel because it just seems impossible\, this course is for you. If you have a ton of questions about alignment or positioning that you never get a chance to ask in a fast-pased vinyasa class\, this course is for you! \nThe course is aimed at anyone who is comfortable in a mixed-level vinyasa yoga class and who can hold downward dog with straight arms for 10 breaths. \nLimited to 9 spots total\, early booking is recommended! \n£75 full price / £65 concessions \n

SUMMARY:Five weeks to forearm stands course
DESCRIPTION:Five sessions: 4\, 11\, 18\, 25 November and 2 December 7.45 – 9pm \nTurn yourself upside down and all the bad thoughts will fall out of your head! Maybe not\, but inversions do hold benefits like improving upper body mobility and strength\, improving circulation and body awareness. Pincha mayurasana\, or forearm stand\, is a real full-body posture\, and working towards it will mean improving your flexibility and stability in hamstrings\, hip flexors\, shoulders\, upper back and core muscles. \nWe’ll work methodically through drills\, postures and exercises to increase mobility\, stability and strength\, as well as using the wall to support our balance and alignment. Expect a fun\, supportive environment and lots of laughs. \nIf you’ve seen people practicing their inversions and wondered how on earth they got there – this is for you. If you’ve never even heard of a forearmstand but want to improve your mobility and strength with something fun and invigorating – this is for you. If you’ve tried a forearmstand once or twice but want to really refine your alignment\, balance and body awareness – this is for you. \nThe course is aimed at anyone who is comfortable in a mixed-level vinyasa yoga class and who can hold downward dog with straight arms for 10 breaths. \nLimited to 9 spots total\, early booking is recommended! \n£75 full price / £65 concessions \n
