DESCRIPTION:This month-long course of early morning yoga will help you get your day off to the right start. \nEach 7am class will lead you through 60 minutes of dynamic\, slow flowing yoga incorporating mindfulness and breath awareness. There’ll be the opportunity to stretch and strengthen the body as well as a guided relaxation to calm and relax both body and mind. \nThis class is open level but some experience of a flow-style of yoga is recommended. \n5 weeks at £55 in studio and £40 on Zoom \nWe are also offering a drop-in option at £14 in studio and £10 on Zoom for those who can’t commit to the whole course. \n

SUMMARY:Mandala Through The Seasons with Zoe Speekenbrink
DESCRIPTION:In this extended Mandala Vinyasa practice we will work with the element related to the season we are in. Starting with a pranayama (breath work) practice\, moving into dynamic mandala vinyasa and gradually slowing down with restorative yoga\, giving the body time to soften and integrate the work before settling into deep rest in savasana. \nMandala Vinayasa yoga takes us 360 degrees around the mat\, you’ll repeat a circular sequence for three cycles\, creating a steady\, rhythmic flow that helps calm the mind and settle the nervous system whilst also offering physical challenge. The practice becomes deeply meditative as you become familiar with the movements and the circular flow. \nFor each elemental focus\, the practice will target specific areas of the body connected to that element\, while also exploring its physical and emotional qualities. \nMandala Vinyasa offers a balanced blend of warming\, fluid movement and quiet stillness. This extended practice\, connected to the season\, is designed to leave you feeling grounded\, balanced and light. \n(These classes are in-studio only. DESCRIPTION:Expect a warm welcome at the monthly New Moon Stretch & Soundbath session. Make space for setting new intentions and giving your body and mind valuable time to rest\, relax and reset. \nStarting with gentle floor-based somatic stretches to unwind tension and prepare the body and mind for deep relaxation. Then settle in your ‘rest nest’\, listen to the lunar prompts and then allow the sound bath harmonics to do their work! The instruments; singing bowls\, sansula\, koshi chimes\, drum\, gong\, percussion instruments\, and vocals can induce an altered state of consciousness akin to a meditative state. \nEveryone will have their unique experience and it’s never the same! Chocolate\, oracle cards and a warm drink will prepare you for the journey home. Lunar prompts will be emailed to you the following day. No experience is required\, just come with an open mind and drinking bottle. \nMax 16 places\, pre-booking advised. \nThese monthly element sound baths are based on which astrological sign the new moon is in. DESCRIPTION:\nThe Summer Solstice marks the arrival of the longest day of the year when the earth tilted at its maximum towards the sun. It’s the astronomical first day of summer but also called midsummer by some who see it as the midpoint of the season. Characterised by an abundance of light\, the Summer Solstice has traditionally been seen as a time for celebrating the sun – its energy and its life-giving properties – before the days gradually begin to shorten. It’s also long been associated with fertility\, abundance\, and even magic. \n\n\nAt this Friday night class\, we’ll celebrate together with a yoga practice that reflects the energy of the season and helps us connect to our own inner cycles and light. The evening will begin with a slow flow practice that gently warms the body\, gradually opening it to deeper expansive shapes. This will be followed by a soothing and relaxing yin yoga practice with mindfulness\, inquiry questions and breath work offering time for insight and reflection. \n\n\nIn-Studio £22/ Zoom £18\n\n\n

Ensuring you are putting yourself first (for once) and you feel just brilliant. \nAimed at:\n– People who are always busy\, feel stressed out\, running on empty and feeling exhausted.\n– People wanting to press the pause button on their busy life\, just for a couple of hours.\n– People wanting find calm and find clarity in their mind.\n– People wanting to restore vitality and energy.\n– All levels of yoga experience – from expert to total beginner.\n– People wanting to try out a new style of yoga – yin yoga\, restorative yoga or yoga nidra.\n– People who can’t make a regular weekly class\, but still want some yoga time.\n– Open to anyone. No yoga experience required at all. All ages\, men and women\, warmly welcomed. Anyone who needs to rest! & relax \nWhat we’ll do:\n– Opening with a centering and grounding meditation and time to connect to your breathing and yourself.\n– We’ll start with some gentle slow-flowing yoga postures to gently warm and awaken the body\, along with simple yet effective breathing techniques to restore balance and calm to the mind.\n– Moving onto some Yin Yoga. This is a wonderful practice\, done seated or lying down\, working on releasing tension through longer held poses and making space in the body.\n– Using lots of blankets and cushions we’ll experience some gorgeous Restorative Yoga poses\, which allow the body to yield and release\, calms the nervous system\, and allows you to practice stillness in body and mind.\n– We’ll end with a beautiful deep guided relaxation (called a Yoga Nidra which means ‘yogic sleep’). This is a deeply relaxing practice (as the name suggests!) done lying down\, that really calms the mind.\n– Accompanied by a beautiful gentle soundscape\, aromatherapy oils\, often some poetry and candlelight to add to the feeling of tranquillity and restfulness in this lovely space. \nHow you’ll feel:\nYou’ll leave this afternoon mini-retreat feeling:\n– stretched and released\n– calm and relaxed\n– revived in body and mind\n– nourished and ready for the week ahead\n– deeply rested \n\n

It’s suitable for those with experience of yoga and for people getting back into yoga with a good level of fitness. \n
