Gong Sound Bath with Sound Portals (In-Studio Only)

We are excited to be back at the Stables Yoga Centre, creating a relaxing sound journey for you. Come and lie down, de-stress, relax and totally unwind by letting the gongs take you into a deep meditative state.
A gong bath is an immersive sound experience. You are bathed in endless overlapping sound waves. The sound and vibrations from the gong travelling through the body can induce feelings of deep relaxation and an open state of being, aware but very calm and centred. Other experiences can be altered states of awareness such as dream-like states, shamanic journeying and visions of colour. No two gong baths are the same. We play the gongs and other instruments intuitively. The alchemy is in the combined intentions of the gongs, the receivers and the players. Taking care of your physical body first is key. Most people wear loose clothing and prefer to lie down making a comfy nest for themselves, using a yoga or camping mat. An hour is a long time to lie on a floor so please feel free to bring enough cushions etc to be comfortable, an extra padded layer on top of your mat and a fleece or blanket to be warm. We will create an ambient space with no harsh lighting but an eye mask can also help leave the outside world behind, assisting you to journey with the sound (we have eye pillows, mats, blankets and bolsters if you wish to use them). The gong bath will last about an hour, with time after to reflect on your experience, integrate and ground. Gongs are deeply cleansing, shifting emotional blocks. Water to hydrate afterwards is essential.
We will play all of the gongs and instruments intuitively, in response to what is required and needed from the group that attends. We have added to our collection and will have 9 gongs, including our two new ones a 40″ wind gong that has a great thunderous tone and a 36″ planetary Pluto gong that helps to release old energies and patterns.
Please bring anything that will make your physical body as comfortable as possible on the floor for an hour. Pillow, cushions, thick mat and blanket/fleece. An eye mask also helps to assist in delving into the sound journey, leaving the world behind. Water for afterwards is essential.
