Asha Melanie
Asha first discovered the true depth of yoga while working as a PT in Hong Kong. A virus left her with extreme fatigue and for the first time she was made to slow down and truly listen. It was in that stillness that yoga revealed itself as something far greater than a physical practice, and what began as dabbling became a revelation. A passion was ignited! She qualified as a teacher in 2015 when she moved back to the UK and has gone on to deepen her studies in Yin Yoga with Sarah Lo and Restorative Yoga with Anna Ashby.
With almost 20 years of experience as a personal trainer, Asha brings a wealth of knowledge about the human body into every class. Her teaching is alignment-based, where traditional principles serve as a starting point before students are encouraged to make each pose their own.
Asha’s classes are rooted in inclusivity. She creates a space where every student feels welcomed, seen and supported – because every body is unique, and that uniqueness is something to be celebrated. For her, yoga is first and foremost a vehicle for self-enquiry, a chance to pause, check in, and explore how your body and mind are feeling in any given moment.
Strength, flexibility, calm, and clarity are just very welcome bonuses to the art of listening inwards.
